The entire NOW "Thunderbolts" concept was a cynical cash-grab. Marvel slapped a bunch of anti-heroes on a team together, and hoped it would remind enough people of better, more popular comics that it would make money.
And it did! And now, all of your cynical cash is ours! Ha! Ha! Ha!
